Description
Dave Bell has always had an appreciation for birds and especially for birds of prey (also known as raptors). He was fortunate enough to spend time in 2004, 2005 and 2006 helping with a research project on the New Zealand falcon in Kaingaroa Forest. This time reinforced the special features of our falcon and has subsequently resulted in 15 years of collecting and collating over 20,000 records of encounters from throughout New Zealand. Also, the researching of historical records and written material on the New Zealand falcon.
The purpose of this book is to inform the reader about the New Zealand falcon, our only remaining endemic raptor, as true appreciation for our falcon can only be achieved when you understand their uniqueness and appreciate how they behave and have adapted.
