Career Construction Counseling Manual

The Career Construction Counseling Manual is a revision and expansion of the original Life Design Counseling Manual.

The new Manual explains narrative interventions that practitioners may use to assist clients deal with vocational development tasks, occupational transitions, and job stress. The protocol for Career Construction Counseling describes phases of treatment, session-by-session principles, and specific procedures. The counseling strategies and techniques are clearly explained and demonstrated with client examples. Although structured and systematic, the flexible guidelines are easily adapted to appropriately address clients' situations and values. The Manual is intended for career counselors, advisors, and coaches who want to develop the knowledge and skills involved in narrative interventions that foster vocational development and life design.
