This workbook provides introductory material through which students can build confidence through practice in the areas of mathematics they need for first year chemistry courses. The workbook can be applied to individual study or for large group teaching. It aims to develop a mathematics `toolkit' rather than being a formal mathematics course. Material is introduced through chemistry examples and students are then given worked examples and exercises with solutions.
