Eleanor Rimoldi was born and raised in Buffalo, New York andemigrated to New Zealand in 1961. She has taught anthropology atuniversities in Auckland, Tonga and Bougainville. Her poems havebeen published in numerous journals and magazines (previouslyunder the names Eleanor Horrocks and Eleanor Clarke) and inanthologies including Private Gardens: an Anthology of New ZealandWomen Poets; Big Smoke: New Zealand Poems 1960-1975; and TheEarths Deep Breathing: Garden Poems by New Zealand Poets.
