Access to Information

This book provides comprehensive guidance on the access to information regime in New Zealand, including access to official information under the Official Information Act 1982, the Local Government Official Information and the Meetings Act 1987.

With the enactment of the Privacy Act 1993, the scheme also involves access to individuals personal information held by both public and private sector agencies.
