Volume Three was developed during a 2021 wananga held with writers, Dr Rachael Buchanan, Ane Tonga and Israel Randell with support from our designer Chloe Reweti, editorial board member Dr Sean Mallon and previous ATE writer Dr Nina Tonga.
Articles in Volume Three reflect the breadth and beauty of nga toi Maori including the Motunui Epa, Kauae Raro, HOEA! Gallery and Project Space, Wairau Maori Art Gallery, AKINA Contemporary Art Gallery and Mataaho Collective. We are also pleased to include a republished text from Dr Peter Brunt and two republished poems from Ruanuku Emeritus Professor Ngahuia te Awekotuku and essa may ranapiri.
