Horsley and Lang’s Meetings: Procedure, Law and Practice examines the law and practice of meetings of bodies generally, as well as the specific requirements of the Corporations Act applying to companies.
Since the last edition of Horsley and Lang’s Meetings: Procedure, Law and Practice, Chapter 2G of the Corporations Act has been amended to make more extensive provision for the use of technology to convene and conduct general meetings. In addition, many sections of the Corporations Act relating to creditors’ meetings have been replaced by new provisions in the Insolvency Practice Schedule (Corporations) forming Schedule 2 of the Corporations Act, and many of the Corporations Regulations relating to creditors’ meetings have been replaced by the Insolvency Practice Rules (Corporations). As a result, in this new edition Chapters 21 and 23 have largely been rewritten. In addition, there has been considerable case law development since the last edition. Accordingly, more than 60 new case references and associated analyses have been added.
