Southspace

Southspace is likely to inflame controversy. Peter Cleave said that the book's author, Paul Moon has produced a work that lifts the lid on the underside of life in South Auckland.

'This writer is now so attuned to contemporary life in New Zealand especially in South Auckland that its uncanny,' says Cleave.

Southspace describes with compelling accuracy a picture of boarding house and context in South Auckland, and the way of life of a part of the city few outsiders ever get to see. Mr Cleave went on to say that Southspace could well be suggested reading for teachers, social workers, building inspectors and Police in South Auckland and around the country. Moon is describing a reality that is unpalatable in this country and it is of vital importance that he be read and understood.
