Language Education and Applied Linguistics : Bridging the Two Fields

This title provides a framework for understanding communicative repertoires, which can be used by students, teachers, researchers and teacher educators to explore multilingual contexts and communicative purposes in language classrooms, language education and applied linguistics. The authors' point of departure is that the communicative repertoire is not constrained by discrete linguistic systems since all individuals use multiple forms of communication.
