Literacy Essentials Workbook

Literacy Essentials is designed to enable students to further develop their confidence in reading and writing as they prepare to take the Literacy Unit Standards that they must pass to achieve NCEA.

This workbook is in a write-on format to encourage independent learning. It can be used by students in any classroom, not just English classes, as well as at home. It contains both good advice on how to read and write for the specific Literacy assessments, along with a range of practice exercises.

The questions are similar in style and scope to those likely to be encountered in the assessments for the Literacy Unit Standards.
