Touch of the Oracle : Michael Petry : Works 2003 - 2012

Michael Petry's work is visually abstract but highly erotic and multilayered. He works on the edge of the Fine Art/Craft divide, and seeks always to disrupt the notion of making, seeing and being depicted. This book documents Petry's artistic output over the last eight years, focusing in particular on his one-man show at the Palm Springs Art Museum showing in 2012. It includes his international shows, including those at Sir John Soanes Museum and The Courtauld Institute of Art, both in London, and at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, among others.
