Born in Christchurch (the son of a clergyman), Peter Olds was Robert Burns Fellow in 1978. In 2005 he received the Janet Frame Trust Award for poetry. The Best of Best New Zealand Poems (2011) included his ‘Disjointed on Wellington Railway Station’.
