After 33 days drifting in a survival raft they landed at Pukapuka in a very destitute state. They survived their ordeal with help and assistance from the people of Pukapuka.Other stories include the island of Tuanaki. This would have been the 16th island of the Cook Islands. But this island disappeared and sank below the sea in the early 1800s.Another story is about the female convict ship Lady Penrhyn while another tells of the son of an Ariki on Rarotonga who was sentenced tohang for accidently killing his wife in the 1850s.
